|Happy Fall| Photo Shoot Featuring a New Headband and Cozy Fall Essentials by Laila's Charming Pieces

Happy Fall
(finally)

Yesterday, I spent the evening playing "photographer" behind the camera. It's something that I don't often do but it's another love of mine. My truly amazing friend's Crystal and Tara joined me on a little adventure in the dessert as we scouted for some glorious lighting to showcase a new headband I just created for LSP. I also photographed some cozy fall pieces created by Tara of Laila's Charming Pieces.

Inspired by the Art Deco and 1920's era, this classic tie-back headband has just been added to the shop. I'm in love with the beaded details in this piece! Wear it with your favorite fall wardrobe choices or elegant nights out. Get it in the shop here.

This season has brought much more productivity not only for me but for my talented friend Tara of Laila's Charming Pieces as well. She has been working so hard lately getting new fall essentials made for her shop and the upcoming Penelope Lane Boutique which is on September 27!! She seriously makes me even more excited for the cooler season ahead with her warm and comforting adornments.

Here is a teeny tiny sneak peek of some of her new crochet pieces which will be available soon and THANK YOU to my gorgeous friend, Crystal for modeling!!

What are some of your favorite fall essentials??
Mine are definitely boots, scarves and statement rings. Bring on the cooler weather!

Pumpkin Spice Latte & Freshly Painted Nails

It has been a crazy week & I decided that this afternoon I needed some "me time" so I painted my nails & sipped on a Pumpkin Spice Latte :) Ahhhh....
Being 38 1/2 weeks pregnant is really taking it's toll--not only on my body but also my emotions and stress levels. Like I said, this week has been a crazy one & for some reason I really haven't had any motivation to start any new projects. I have been so tired just waiting for our little man to finally make his appearance! Next week though, I have some orders to send out in the mail & I'm really excited about new projects I will also be starting :)
Now, it's time to get ready to attend a beautiful fall wedding! I also created the bride's fall-inspired hairpiece (complete with ivory flower, fall leaves & a gorgeous crystal brooch for the center) and I'm so excited to see how it will look with her gorgeous dress!

Blue knit scarf with added antique lace & vintage-inspired pearl buttons

Magenta wool blend infinity scarf with crochet detail & ivory poppy!

Gray & red cotton infinity scarf with fabric poppies & pearl detail

These scarves are only $20 + shipping for a limited time so hurry!

Newest scarves done!

I have been creating scarves like nobody's business this past week! I have finished 3 more and I'm working on 3 custom orders already...& I haven't even "officially" made them available yet! :)
By the way...today or tomorrow, my scarves will be up on etsy to purchase for $20 each for a limited time! They will soon be going up to $25 so purchase them while you can before the price increases! I will also only be taking a VERY limited amount of custom orders only because, as most of you know, our little one will be here VERY soon and I won't have too much time to make so many .
Well, here are a few more that I have completed!
{Enjoy}

This blue scarf was created using 71" of super soft & comfy rib knit fabric made up of 95% cotton & 5% spandex. I also sewed 2 antique lace doilies to add femininity & 2 vintage-inspired pearl buttons. With the added buttons, you have your choice of wearing the scarf as an infinity scarf or leave the buttons undone and wear it with both ends hanging down--whatever you prefer! :)

Another scarf complete & ready to be added to the etsy shop is this lovely gray & red scarf with added silver detail!

I created this scarf using 71" of 100% cotton fabric with 3 added red cotton poppies sewn onto the gray and red striped fabric. For the center of the largest poppy flower, I added an antique silver button & for the smaller poppies, I sewed 3 small gray pearls to the center of each. Also, at the end of the scarf, I sewed 4 large gray pearls to be used as "buttons" to attach or detach the scarf. That way, you can wear it as an infinity scarf or keep the scarf un-buttoned!

Another scarf I completed is this blue rib knit scarf with added ruffles and silver antique buttons!

I used the same soft blue rib knit fabric as the lace one above to create this lovely little scarf which measures 70" in length. I added a little canvas ruffle to the scarf (I'm a sucker for ruffles) to add a bit of color to it including yellow, gray, ivory, & aqua. I also sewed 3 antique silver buttons to the end of the scarf as well as 3 loops of ivory threaded cord that can interlock around the buttons for versatility! :)

& here's a little sneak peek of a custom order I just finished...

For the LOVE of scarves! :D

This morning has been another one of those crafting days! Yesterday, I went to the fabric store {for hours!!} and bought lots of new fabrics to create some scarves! I love love love scarves and I figured, why not make them if I adore them so much?! So, I did just that! Well, I made one so far...but I have sooo many different ideas that I want to create but for now, I need to just take one scarf at a time! :)

Here's my first, and only scarf done so far.

{Enjoy}

I created this infinity scarf using 70.5" of Magenta Wool Blend fabric to keep you extra toasty this chilly season. I also used 2 strips of 9.5" of Crochet Lace & a fabric flower made of muslin with gold shimmer and a vintage-inspired button for the center.

For the flower-- I cut & folded the fabric to create "petals" and then hand-sewn them to the magenta scarf. Then, I took extra magenta fabric and sewn that to the middle followed by a pearl button!

You can wear this scarf in several different ways & here, I have showed a couple ways:

I will be creating many more scarves to come and they will {SOON} be available at the Love Sparkle Pretty Etsy Shop!

Also coming soon...
TOTE BAGS!
:D
