THE LSP BLOG HAS A NEW HOME!

This year has been filled with so many changes and BIG news for Love Sparkle Pretty! Well, here's another...
The blog has moved!

With the creation of the new home for Love Sparkle Pretty, it just seemed fitting to start fresh with the blog as well. Although I've stepped back from blogging for several reasons, I will be posting from now on whenever possible in the new blog space at lovesparklepretty.com/blog to share all of the newest updates, behind the scenes, new collections, customer stories and custom orders.

I will keep this little corner of the internet as a keepsake for memories, business reflections and lessons learned along the way as well as inspiration but from now on (after tomorrow's celebration of the new blog with a special DIY post), I will be posting on the new site.

Thank you to all who have shared your kind comments, love, support and following me through this amazing journey! If you want to keep up to date, you can sign up for the monthly newsletter where I will be posting a collection of blog posts each month within the email.

PST! Be sure to at least stick around for tomorrow's announcement of the new DIY I will be posting in collaboration with Afloral!

Our NEW SHOP has LAUNCHED! Come Celebrate!

After thinking about this new transition for a while, I FINALLY created the new website/shop and made the change for Love Sparkle Pretty to become it's own site where my wonderful customers can purchase directly from the home page rather than going through Etsy! I have loved Etsy so much and I'm so incredibly thankful for that platform as LSP has transformed and become the brand that it is today but I knew it was time to branch out-not only for the brand and the story behind it but also for future customers as well.

I still have my Etsy shop open for those searching for our floral crowns, veils, combs, etc. but from now on, traffic will be driven straight to LoveSparklePretty.com where I've re-created the whole design.

I'm so thankful for the experiences and opportunities this "job" has provided for me and my family and I'm SO excited to welcome the future possibilities! Thank you to everyone for your continuous love and support!

Celebrating some BIG opportunities and announcing a little SECRET!

I have some exciting news to share about some changes as well as a few awesome opportunities coming up! After a year of "rest" in 2015 and taking several months off from LSP to have my baby girl and just really enjoy time with my family, this year has been shaping up to be a busy but wonderful one! I just wanted to share some things with you that have made me oh so happy!

First off, a big change is coming soon-hopefully by May at the latest! I'm working on a whole new website where pretties can be purchased directly from my main site rather than having to solely go through my Etsy shop. I will still keep my Etsy shop open but my focus will now be on my main domain website which will turn e-commerce in a couple of weeks!

Next, I have some wonderful features coming up that I'm so giddy about! In May, I have a feature with Green Wedding Shoes with photography by Leighanne Herr, in June, a feature with Magnolia Rouge with photography by Mallory Dawn and in September, a print feature with Bridal Guide Magazine!

I also get to work with Tyler Rye (his work is stunning) with his upcoming workshop by sending him a few bridal pieces for the styled shoots.

I recently had the opportunity to work with the oh so talented Kristen Booth once again by sending her a couple pieces for a styled shoot in Ireland which turned out BEAUTIFULLY! See more photos here! It was magical! This shoot featured the Sienna Floral Crown.
I am also working on a DIY with Afloral that I'm excited about! I will be creating an ombre floral chandelier...stay tuned!

Also, this year I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with the best selling author and mama friend, Amy Kavelaris of the new children's book, Bloom with Mi! I've designed and created several bloom crowns to coordinate with her heart warming book for little's about sharing our gifts and talents we've been given. You can get the book here. As of right now, I don't have a listing in the shop for this crown but you can order one by email at lovesparklepretty@aol.com.

There has been so many other wonderful blessings poured out on our year so far and I am so incredibly thankful to my Lord and Savior for each and every one!

I share this because I'm still learning to celebrate my wins no matter how big or how small they may seem. Love Sparkle Pretty has turned from a small creative outlet to a business that has opened so many doors, opportunities and connections that I never thought possible over the years! Thank you to everyone for all of the continuous love and support! <3

New Floral Combs Inspired by the 2016 Pantone Colors

A while back, I created new combs inspired by the newest Pantone colors of Rose Quartz and Serenity. I absolutely love this color palette! These newest combs created with rose blossoms, freesia, magnolia blooms and greenery-all carefully attached to vintage-inspired gold combs embody the pretty pink and blue hues of 2016. I also created these combs to pair perfectly with a veil such as the Sophia Veil from the shop!

Meet the Rose Quartz Floral Comb created with a gorgeous rose blossom that looks and feels so realistic as well as pink freesia and greenery. View this comb in the shop

Meet the Serenity Floral Comb which makes the perfect something blue addition created with pretty dusty blue magnolia petals, ivory blossoms and greenery. View this comb in the shop.

Behind the Scenes of the New Blush Collection Photo Shoot

For the past few months, I've had a reoccurring vision of styling a photo shoot with a romantic and soft aesthetic centered around hairstyles that would complement pretty blossoms in the hair on a bride's wedding day. I decided to put that vision into action and started to search and reach out to some talented ladies that I knew would be a great fit. I am so thankful for this team of amazing women that helped bring everything together so beautifully! Mallory from Mallory Dawn Photography was behind the camera (actually, cameras since this girl handles business like a boss), Savannah from Savannah & Co. did all of the gorgeous hair styling, Sydney from SMRBeauty worked her magic with makeup, Marnie from Sweet Salvaged Rentals allowed us to use her gorgeous Belwood sofa for the shoot, The Dress Theory so graciously lended 3 stunning Rue De Seine dresses and I created the floral hairpieces and veils and did a bit of floral styling as we shot in a beautiful loft space in Los Angeles at FD Photo Studios.

These are just a few behind the scene shots from our day in Los Angeles! I can't wait to share a few snippets of the actual styling behind the camera soon!

Romantic and Ethereal Designs: The Newest Flower Crown and Veil.

New designs have been added to the shop with several more on their way. Meet the 'Sienna' Floral Crown and the 'Sarah' Veil. Each of my designs are inspired by romance and ethereal aesthetic and these pretty pieces are no exception.

Sienna is created with light cream and ivory roses which look and feel so realistic. Sage eucalyptus leaves are intertwined throughout her design for a romantic aesthetic. She's perfect for the ethereal bride to grace her locks as she says her vows.
See more of Sienna in the shop here.

Sarah is a juliet cap style veil created with the softest english net veiling flowing from romantic and intricate ivory cream chantilly lace. The back of the veil has carefully sewn in cream florals and a touch of greenery to add a bit of ethereal beauty.

NEW Pantone Inspired Floral Combs

I am absolutely in LOVE with the new 2016 Pantone colors of the year! When they were announced, I knew I needed to create a couple new pieces inspired by this palette. So, I recently created some new floral combs to do just that.

These are not yet available in the shop but they will be at The Swoon Event next month and you can send me an email (lovesparklepretty@aol.com) until then to order!

Self Worth, Value and Beauty-A Maternity Shoot to describe the DIFFERENCE

I have been asked what makes my crowns so different from the several that have since come out since opening my shop back in 2011. I can give several answers (and have) but a few that I'd like to share today can be expressed through these beautiful maternity photos of Nicole Davidge taken by Savannah Kate

Last year, I had the wonderful pleasure of creating a custom crown for Nicole for her Spring wedding as well as coordinating crowns for her bridesmaids. Before that, I also created crowns for her styled shoots for her photography business, Southern Shutter Photography. Now, Nicole just had her first little love-sweet baby Nixon. I am so honored to have been a part of Nicole's journey (even if it's just been a small part). I am so incredibly blessed to be able to work with the brides that I do. I don't just create floral crowns. I create keepsakes that can be treasured for years to come. My pieces are meant to be worn time and time again through engagements, weddings, maternity photos, family photos and even passed on to our daughters. These past few years, I have been trying to per-fect my designs to be loved and handled. I have gone through different blooms to use the highest of quality, added new techniques including hand stitching and now even adding sealant to the tips of many blossoms to keep from any possible fraying.

The difference is in the details and the time I put into each piece. I want each woman to feel something when they wear one of my crowns or veils-a feeling of self worth, value and beauty.

I'm BAACCKK with a 20% off code!!

It's been an exciting past few months as I took some time off from the shop to welcome our sweet baby girl, Lyla Rose. She was well worth the wait as she was 2 days over due but hey, I should get used to waiting on her. After all, she is a girl! With two little ones now, life has definitely changed but in a beautiful way.

Although, I've enjoyed my time off, I'm ready to reopen the shop and get back to doing what I love! I'm so thankful for everyone's love and patience during this time and I can't wait to share the new pieces that I've created for the shop's reopening including new infant floral crowns and a bridal collection with veils, floral crowns and jewelry pieces!

As a Thank You, here's a 20% off discount code to use toward your order in the shop!
ENJOY!

Launching New Bridal Collection

Lately, I've been working more and more on getting the shop ready for reopening on June 1st. The moments I get to "work" have been condensed to a couple hours during afternoon nap times. It will be a change going from maternity leave for 3 months back to fulfilling orders, answering emails in a timely manner and trying to keep up with social media and the monthly newsletter. So, please forgive me if I fail miserably at first trying to keep to a decent work schedule as a new mommy of two now.

As far as the reopening of the Love Sparkle Pretty Etsy shop goes, I will be adding several new bridal pieces including a new floral crown, some shoulder pieces and a couple veils. Here is a tiny peek of the new bridal collection photographed by Kristen Booth with dresses by Chariot Marie and Simply Bridal.

SHOP REOPENING!

The shop is officially reopening June 1st!

I've been on maternity leave from the shop since the very end of February to welcome our sweet girl to the family. (I wrote about her birth story recently).

Thank you for everyone's patience and support as I've been taking this time off to enjoy with the family. Excited to reopen with some new pretty pieces! So, let your friends know (brides-to-be, momma's, little loves, etc.)!

& That's a Wrap!!

Hello Weekend!

I'm so excited to share that I've officially completed all of the last of my orders before reopening shop in late May/early June! A couple weeks ago, I put the shop on vacay since we will be expecting our second little love very soon and with a list of pieces that needed to be created and shipped, I can now say that they are all on their way to their new homes.

Here are just a few of the recent orders I've shipped out-many of them custom.

This is a custom garter set for a sweet May bride created with blush pink and ivory details. Added some rhinestones and feathers to complete the look.

These custom bracelet sets are for much loved bridesmaids who will be standing next to their dear friend as she marries the man of her dreams in May!

This is a custom Every Floral Crown with smaller peach flowers in the back and added babys breath throughout. I took photos before I added the soft inner lining of the crown.

These corsage pins were requested by a bride recently. She found an older design that I had created a while back that was originally a flower clip attached to a small veil for the hair. She reached out to me to create a very similar design as a corsage pin for the mothers and grandmothers to wear on her big day. These were created specially for her and I loved the way they turned out. It was fun to recreate an old design and make it new again!

I created a package for a bride and her bridesmaids for 6 crowns and adornments-4 of them being custom (the other two were the Juliet Crown and Claire Adornment-not pictured).

& that's a wrap for now! I will share more in a later post but until then, have a great weekend friends!
