A little home makeover

A few days ago, I went a little crazy with redecorating our home. Most of this creative rush was brought on by the Creative Tea Time event I went to this past weekend. While I was there, I made a few pieces that had to be showcased in our home so how. Thus, the small home makeover.

I created the "choose joy" wooden plank at CTT. It was a bit larger but the top piece of it had broken off which is why the letters don't look very centered. I still love it anyway!

The "my cup runneth over" print was in our swag bags donated by the ever so talented Rebecca of A Sweet Little Note.

I still have to paint the book shelf. Not sure what color yet...

This frame used to be black and have chalkboard painted glass inside. Well, the glass broke and I painted the frame the same color as our refurbished coffee table. I love it! I'm not too sure what I'm going to put inside the frame just yet. Antlers? The letter L? An old book?

I received the "Happy Days" banner from my friend Aurora of Unconventionally Vilchis. Cute right? Sorta matches the DIY home banner I recently posted.

These shelves used to be filled with modern teacups and random decor. I took all of that down and added the letters "EAT" which I spray painted gold, my succulent terrarium I made at CTT and added the cutest mason jars ever created by Beach Blues.

I'm thinking of adding a collection of vintage forks spoons and knives to each jar??
I also want to paint the shelves but since there is some black decor in the kitchen...I'm not too sure yet.

I took the large frame above our mantel (which used to be a bright teal frame) and painted it ivory with gold trim. I'm going to distress it a bit so you can see the details in this pretty frame a little bit better. I also painted the inside of the frame with chalkboard paint. Since my other chalkboard decor broke, I needed a new one.

I love the clean look of all of this. Makes me look forward to the cold months so I can light some candles (see the pumpkin spice one on the mantel?!) and cozy up on the couch with several knitted blankets!

I'm still in the middle of  repainting things and decorating which is a little strange, I think, since we should be moving soon (hopefully). I love the ambiance of a newly re-decorated home though. Makes the home feel refreshed. I think our bedroom will be next!

Have you re-decorated recently? Even just for the change of seasons?

Creative Tea Time Recap {PRETTY Photo Overload}

This past Saturday, I had the great pleasure to attend Creative Tea Time, an event in Dana Point, Ca filled with endless creativity, splendid sips of tea, sweet conversations with beautiful ladies and crafting galore!

Meagan from Fairly Fabulous, LeAnn from Lele's Little Soiree and Tracy from Creme De La Gems, put their amazing talent and creativity together to create this gorgeous and fun day for approximately 40 women to enjoy. Not only did they make this event super successful but the sponsors REALLY BLESSED each and every attendee with swag that included mounds of amazing-ness and beautiful detail. You will see what I mean in a photo below.

We also took home at least 6 different craft projects that each of us made during this event. My projects included, a stamped spoon, a small hot air balloon, a mason jar winter globe, hoop art, a stamped wood plank and a succulent terrarium. I didn't think I even had it in me to create 6 different crafts in one day but I did!! I already used them within my home decor as well so I will be posting those photos soon.
Until then, enjoy this little peek of the day. (Warning: photo OVERLOAD)
Natalie of Take the Cannoli won a leather tassel necklace and bracelet set from the shop in one of the giveaways that was presented. She is the sweetest!

I am so thankful for each an every one of these ladies! Meagan, LeAnn and Tracy, THANK YOU so much for creating a beautiful crafting wonderland for all of us to enjoy and for putting everything together. The details were spendid and just PERFECT-the entire day was PERFECT! I cannot say thank you enough! Ashley, thank you for all of your help and work that you put into this day. Your hilarious personality was the topping on the cake. LeAnn and Ashley's mom, you are a ROCKSTAR! You worked in that kitchen like a super chef and created DELICIOUS foods and LOTS of it! This event wouldn't be the same without you. THANK YOU.
Last but certainly not least, Tara, thank you for coming to this event with me and going on the super early road trip with me. You are one of my best friends and this day was even better because you were there. :)
Check these ladies out: Meagan from Fairly Fabulous, Tara from Laila's Charming Pieces, LeAnn from Lele's Little Soiree and Tracy from Creme De La Gems

After all of the crafting and mingling, several of us ladies who attended Creative Tea Time, drove to San Clemente to visit some pretty shops (where I got one of my favorite maxi dresses) and had a yummy dinner at a mexican restaurant near the ocean.
It was such a great night to end such a wonderful day!

Recent pretties {A bridal shoot, new necklaces + boutonnieres}

Taking a little break from the blogging world allows me to get a bit more shop orders done, shipped out and have more family time. I will be back in the "swing of things" sometime soon but for now, I'm enjoying the time I get to step back and not have to get so much done.

Today, I'm sharing a few recent pretties that have made new homes and a sneak peek of one of a few new photo shoots featuring pieces from Love Sparkle Pretty.

I am so happy to have collaborated with Marilyn Duvall Photography for this bridal shoot featuring a handmade lace cap from the shop. She's such a talented photographer based in Texas. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos from this shoot!
P.S. I will also be adding another NEW bridal cap very soon!!

The new hand painted feather necklaces are now available here in the shop. This burnt orange one is on its way to its home in Australia.

The fabric rosette necklaces (will be available again soon) made their way to a sweet returning customer in Germany. Thank you Melanie!!

The gold boho-inspired headpiece is going to South Carolina. This piece has been quite popular in the shop. I am loving the boho style right now and I can see that many others are too. I have a few more of these to create and send off this week.

With the cooler seasons approaching, I have been creating more fall/winter pieces for weddings such as this custom woodland-inspired order of boutonnieres. These adorable bouts are for a December wedding in New York and I'm so excited to see all of the details come together for this event!
Right now, these are only available by custom order.

Speaking of boutonnieres, I stumbled upon these wedding photos from a wonderful Canadian bride I worked with a few months ago. She contacted me to create her boutonnieres, corsage pins as well as a couple hair clips (including the bride's) for her big day (see the past post about it here).

She was so sweet and the greatest part was, I was her very first Etsy order! It always makes me happy to know that I am someone's "first order". Being a part of a great handmade site, there are so many other talented shops to choose from but to place your trust in my shop as your first experience, means a lot. I still remember my first Etsy order too!

As a gift, I sent her a bracelet I created just for her. I used pearls on a silver chain and a locket to match the key boutonnieres. I was so happy to find out that she even wore the bracelet on her big day! This makes my heart happy.

Thank you so much Jennifer for your kindness and support of my shop. I truly appreciate you!

Have a beautiful week my friends!
If you've recently created some pretties, I'd love to see them. Send your posts my way. :)
