{Sneak Peek} of the NEW Fall Bridal Line

I've been talking about a new bridal line that I will be launching in a couple months. I've had all of these ideas in my head for a while and I am now finally able to make them tangible and come to life! Although, I still have quite a bit of work to do, I am hoping to get these pieces done by the end of August to launch as the Fall 2014 Bridal Line. With lots of hand beading, crystals, vintage-inspired rhinestones, intricate lace and delicate champagne tulle, these pieces are unique and the designs are something that I haven't created before.

I wanted to share just a little teeny tiny sneak peek on what I've been working on with more details to come.

{enjoy}

I am completely and utterly in love with this cream colored Chantilly lace. So intricate and feminine!

Just started this new design which is still in the works with quite a bit more details that must be added. So far, I've hand sewn several clear rhinestones set in antique bronze to this piece that I am so excited about!

This piece wasn't actually intended to be a part of the new line originally. It was inspired for an upcoming bridal shoot but once I started hand stitching several different laces and soft chiffon fabric together to create this veil, I was enamored with it! The complete piece isn't shown in the photo (the front is still being created) but with it's pretty details, I knew I must add this to the shop collection.

This oh so lovely floor length chiffon veil and floral crown combo was created as a custom order for a bride recently. Again, I fell in love with the design. Seriously, some of my pieces have come from the inspiration of my amazing clients! After receiving quite a bit of inquiries on this piece, I will be adding this veil to the shop very soon as well.

There are so many more details that need to be put together to make this collection complete & cohesive but I am so excited to create and see them come together.

Sneak Peek of the Craft Studio

I have been working on organizing the new craft room since we've moved into our new home back in November. For the longest time, I had no motivation to create anything within the bare space and I know it was because the room was so uninspiring to me...yet I didn't want to organize or clean to fix the problem. Go figure right?

Well, as of a few days ago, I have been completely wrapped up in getting this room decorated, organized and 'encouraging'. I still have quite a bit of work to do but I'm pretty proud of it's progress.
Here's a little sneak peek of some details within my new craft studio.

Enjoy.

What's on the craft table...

I painted a closet door with chalkboard paint to fill with inspirational quotes and 2014 business goals.

The 'work desk'. Usually this space is full of papers, shipping labels, reminder post-its and new ideas.
As I organize this room, I feel the need to create. This gives me the most inspiration when I need it. Although I had surgery two days ago, I have been in this room at my craft table several times because I gravitate towards a clean slate that begs to become a creative mess. It's this longing in my DNA. It's just a part of me!

A dose of {inspiration}. Gain it when you lose it.

You know when you just feel like you are lacking inspiration? For me, I need inspiration to work. I cannot sit in my craft room and create pieces that I don't want to work on or that I don't adore. My intentions with each and every piece is that they are made with love and attention to detail. I don't won't ship anything out unless I am completely happy with it.

When I am constantly in my craft room due to a busy week of orders (like this past week), I can lose inspiration and motivation to create. I hate the feeling but it's bound to happen once in a while. This is just something I have learned in the handmade biz.

Here are some of the ways I gained inspiration when I was losing it these past few days.

1. I cleaned my craft room. There's just something about a clean room, a bare table and some added sparkle that gets the creative juices flowing.
Sequined bolero (Sparkles & Prays)

2. I doodled in my new sketch book from Kelly Rae Roberts. I'm not so great at drawing but it helps me realize new ideas once the pen touches paper and/or release stress by focusing on something else entirely. It's another great creative outlet to turn to if I can't seem to work with fabrics, beads, flowers or feathers.

3. I went out on a date with the husband to go see The Great Gatsby. If you are in need of any inspiration, this movie will certainly inject a flood of new ideas into your mind. Seriously.

4. Reading. I have been reading almost every night before bed. Whether it be a novel or the bible, reading is so relaxing and allows me to recollect. Light a candle while you're in a book and this heightens the experience.

5. Once pieces were done, coming up with new packaging ideas was a lot of fun. If I were opening up some happy mail, I'd want to see a bit of pretty details. When someone cares about the presentation (not just the product alone) of their shop, that's when you really feel appreciated. I want to convey this to each person receiving anything from Love Sparkle Pretty.
What do you do when you are in need of inspiration?

The craft room after dark {a photo sesh with my new camera!}

I just got my first DSLR camera which is attached to my hands now. I have been taking photos non-stop since I got my lens-which I had to drive about 45 mins away from home to get but lets not go on a tangent now.
My first "subject" was my son whom I pretty much just stalked around the house and captured his little moments of curiosity. It wasn't as easy as I thought it might be seeing how Levi is just a bottle of energy and very quick on his tiny feet! :) I will share some of those photos later but for now, here is a little photo sesh of my craft room after dark. Mind you, these photos were taken the very first night I got my new camera and I am still a newbie so be nice please. :)

The silence of the house.
The dim lighting.
A glimmer of sparkle.
The untouched fabric.
A little haven.

Where do you go for inspiration?
