For this week's
7 {Pretty} Things on Sunday,
my inspiration comes from
{Pretty} Hair.
It's fun to be girl! Especially when we get to get all dolled up and lovely...even if it's just to make {ourselves} feel beautiful for a moment :)
Creating a gorgeous hairstyle-from simple to detailed-can make the world's of difference on our self esteem.
Here are some PRETTY hairstyles I have found and hopefully, they shed a little light on your day and give you a bit of inspiration for your next hairstyle.
Love the simplicity of high buns.
Pretty little bow & loose waves
The low braid updo is adorable!
I wish I could do this to my own hair! :)
Love her bangs! :)
LOOONG hair=LOVE
Messy bun...so pretty & yet seems so effortless :)

Alright, I don't know where this pattern came from but it seemed to have magically popped up everywhere & I can't complain because I love it!! It's kind of like mustard yellow...I didn't really pay too much attention to it but one day, I caught myself falling head over heels for it. :)
{Chevron}
{You can find the credits for these in my Pinterest}
How do you feel about chevron? Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?
Just about everything in my shop on Etsy has been marked down to make room for some brand spankin' new creations (that will also include necklaces & rings!).
Hairpieces & scarves are now available at lower prices at
Love Sparkle Pretty
so hurry hurry hurry
& place your orders! :D
I'm going to be an auntie in April!!
For my soon-to-be niece's baby shower, her mommy & I got to work on some much needed decorations and favors for the "Baby is Blooming" baby shower next month.
For this theme, there will be lots of color and flowers! We came up with an idea to create 2 garlands made up of fabric flowers and for the favors, give out fabric flower corsages! {So cute}
The favors are an inspiration from this photo:
We started off going to get a bunch of different fabrics in lots of colors as well as different buttons (we also used some vintage buttons that have been saved). Afterwards, we (mommy-to-be, a friend of ours (another mommy-to-be), & I) gathered around on my living room floor and started cutting, folding, shaping, & gluing! Here's what we came up with!
We made 63 of these little beauties!
10 for each garland (2 garlands) & 43 flower corsages.
Although, it took us all day (with the help of some pizza, wings, smoothies, & pasta) they came out so cute & we are very happy with them!
:D
Next on the list,
LOTS and LOTS of tissue pom poms! :)
Snow has finally arrived! Which means...so has winter time! I know the winter season has been here for a little while now but since the temperature has not really dropped below 70 degrees for months, it sure hasn't seemed like it!
Today, though-atleast where I live-we have finally received the first snow fall of the season and the blistering cold temperatures it brings with it.
{& I love it!}
Here's just a tid bit when it first started hailing...then snowing :)
Levi's first snow day :)
Thank you Jesus for snow!!! It's soo pretty!
Now time for some hot chocolate & a big blanket.
On this fine Sunday morning, I have decided to go with the theme of
{Pretty Wears}
for my 7 {Pretty} Things on {Sunday}.
I love all of these outfits because they would make a girl feel just beautiful, even if it's so simple :)
{Enjoy}
Love this lace skirt!! Never would have thought to pair it with a loose dress shirt but it works :) [classy]
These colors together are just beautiful and the long skirt is ultra feminine!
These pastels are so pretty together! The blue coat really brings this outfit to life so it's not too neutral.
Oh my goodness! I love the coat! I could see myself wearing this to get some coffee, a bagel, & then doing some reading in the park :)
This dress is sooo pretty! With those leggings...even prettier! :)
So simple and yet so cute! The red bag makes a statement and the ballet flats are adorable & comfy.
Skinny jeans, messy bun, and a bright scarf...beautiful!!! :)
All of these photos & credit can be found in my Pinterest.
{Have a Beautiful Day!!}
:)
I am {officially ready} for nursing school (RN)! & As you can tell by this largely, scary smile--I am excited! 2 more days!!
Today, I picked up my last "necessity" for school. Wanna know what it was? My very own personalized tumbler of course! :) **Note the Caramel Iced Coffee inside. lol**
I bought it from Kasey's Kreations (go get one! Lots of different designs!).
In order to be ready for nursing assessment this semester, I had to:
[X]get my books (Thanks Ashley)
[X]get stethescope
[X]BP cuff
[X]skills kit
[X]get a watch with second hand
[X]get scrubs
[X]& alter scrubs :/
I finished altering my scrubs the other day. Here's my before & after:
I took about an inch and a half off from the top of the trousers and about 2 inches off the bottom. I also put in an elastic strand in the back of my top to pull it in some.
Well, it's going to be a crazy road ahead of me (especially when I start full time in August).
BRING IT ON!!
(only 5 semesters...only 5 semesters...only 5 semesters)
My biggest order for boutonnieres + 2 hair combs was sent out a few days ago to San Diego (as well as 3 other orders)! I wanted to share with you all that I had created for a complete custom order.
I used mostly vintage buttons for all of these as well as different colored twines, white marabou feathers, champagne goose feathers, gold skeleton leaves, and 2 different laces (the red is for the bridesmaids).
It's fun to open my inbox and a bride to be has sent me a complete custom order of exactly what she wants. This way, I get to create pieces from another person's vision & gets me to create outside of my own box. I'm so excited to see pictures of the big day in August!!
Now, speaking of pictures from the big day, a bride that I had the pleasure of creating her hairpiece for, sent me a couple photos of her wearing it on her wedding day & here they are!
:)
The piece that I created for her was
{Something Blue}
Seeing photos that brides have sent me wearing what I made for them, has really got to be my favorite part of it all.
Makes my day :)
Yesterday was such a beautiful gloomy day outside! The fireplace was warming the house, the candles were flickering, I sipped on some hot chocolate, and I had my comfy moccasins on! It was one of those days where you stayed in your pj's and watched a movie-which is exactly what I did. The hubby, little man, & I cuddled up on the couch and enjoyed the cozy day together.
:)
& Today seems like a completely different season! The sun is shining, the sky is clear, & grass is green!
It's funny what a days difference can make! Either way, the Lord gave us another day.
Take advantage of it!! :D
