Recently (a wedding, a styled photoshoot + a baby)

It's been a while since I've posted because lately, I have been a bit busy and priorities had been placed elsewhere.
I have been running around with baby love trying to keep up with all of his energy and excitement. Morning rituals of bath time and naked baby as well as his first dentist appointment leading to broken utensils. Whoops!
I also had 2 full days of wedding coordination starting with decorating and rehearsal time on Friday. Saturday was the big day so running around and making sure everything was going smoothly was the job on hand. Thankfully, everything did go well and there weren't too many major hiccups. I did get a bit emotional though as the bride (a dear friend of mine) danced with her husband for the first time. It was so sweet and as usual, I had tears in my eyes.
On my way to the festivities!
Sunday, after church, my husband and I decided to take our young adults bible study to the beach. It was PERFECT weather outside and many people had the same idea we did because it was pretty busy.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to participate in a bohemian inspired shoot by Beyond the Wanderlust. Without hesitation, I sent out a piece to Salem, Oregon to be featured in the photo shoot. I am absolutely in LOVE with the styling of the shoot and I'm so excited to see the rest of the photos!
Here's a sneak peek. Get the headpiece here from my shop!

I also went to talk to the Dr. this week about having another baby soon. My husband and I have been talking about it so I wanted to make sure that since I have hypothyroid, my thyroid levels are stable and we are good to go.
He gave us the green light but I have to get ultrasounds every 6 weeks (as if I didn't have to see the Dr. enough already) because of my history with ovarian cysts. Oh boy! Keep us in your prayers that everything goes smoothly.

I took some time to myself the other morning to sit on the porch with coffee while the flowers were being watered. I keep telling myself that I need to wake up earlier to enjoy these moments more often.

I was able to get these pretty custom orders out in the mail to some brides to be!
Love these boutonnieres with vintage-inspired buttons, gold skeleton leaves, detailed pearl ribbon and pretty feathers.

These lovely flower corsage pins are going out today. They are inspired by these corsage pins in my shop and came out beautifully!

Lastly, I have also been trying to get Unit 3 done of  my Wedding and Event Planning course. All of that has been put on the back burner while I try to focus more on my shop but I have scheduled the units back into my agenda so I may doing more updates soon!

As far as 4th of July goes, we have yet to make any plans. We seem to spend the 4th all over the place and they seem to always be last minute plans.
What are you doing for Independence Day?

My ever growing belly + our little man :)

Just about a year ago, my husband and I found out we were going to have a baby . About 11 weeks after that, we found out we were having a boy .
{Our little Levi}
During my pregnancy, I took tons of belly shots (as most pregnant women do) . I compared his height and his weight to different foods and recorded it by taking photos of the foods with my ever growing belly . I have compiled some of the photos from my weeks carrying our little man inside of me and I'm excited to share them! :)
It's funny when I think back at my early second trimester, I thought I was HUGE...& then I entered my last few weeks of being pregnant...I got HUMONGOUS...ENORMOUS...XXL! LOL
But that GIANT belly carried the littlest love of my life for 41 weeks and nutured him to become a beautiful healthy baby boy that we can call our own . :) We are so incredibly blessed .

On Dec. 2, 2011, our little guy entered the world weighing in at 6lbs 11oz and 20" long . That was the most amazing feeling in the world when my husband and I got to meet him for the very first time . It's really indescribable .
Here's little Levi...
from newborn to
now 8 weeks old :)
{Our Heart}

His {many} smiles :D

It really is completely life changing when you give birth and/or have a child . He makes me look at life differently and appreciate the smallest moments in life a little more .
I love you Levi Joseph

Little Red Bow Tie :)

A couple of days ago, I created a little red bow tie for my little man who is now going on 7 weeks old! (::tear:: he's growing up so fast!) I thought he would look so cute with one on & boy was I right!? lol
& I didn't stop there! I also created a red bow for my hair to match him. There aren't many ways a mommy & son can match each other but I was determined! :D
...now to make one for my husband! lol

{Hope you are having a beautiful day!}

Our Maternity Shoot

On October 6th, My husband and I had our maternity shoot with the lovely Cortnie Dee. We met up in Riverside, CA where my husband & I not only took our engagement photos but we also shot some pictures where we got married over a year ago! I was so excited about this opportunity to get to work with Cortnie again because she has basically been "our photographer" and has followed our lives together in important milestones!

Here are just some of our maternity photos that I have fallen in love with!

{At Fairmount Park where we took our engagement photos in January 2010}

{At Crestmore Manor under the tree where we said "I DO"}

first comes love
then comes marriage
then comes little

It was so much fun shooting our little family photos especially since we were able to go back to the exact same place where we said our vows a little over a year ago! :) Cortnie Dee did such an amazing job as always & I'm always impressed by her work! :) Thank you again!

I'm now 36 weeks pregnant & we are just counting down the days until our little man is here!

You are my SUNSHINE

One of the many projects I have set out to create for our little man's nursery is the "You are my Sunshine" frame on the wall where the rocking chair will go. I have always loved the chorus lyrics to the song--"You are my Sunshine" and ever since I found out that my husband & I are expecting, I have hummed the tune to our little baby numerous times.

After finding an amazing frame from the local antique and vintage shop, it took me a couple of days to finish this project & I am really excited and happy with it! :)

This was the frame that my husband & I found before anything was done to it...

I started by painting the frame "antique white" shabby chic.

Then, I found some light green and yellow striped fabric for the background of the frame and started painting away! I painted completely freehanded (no rulers, stencils, etc.) with just the frame laying on top of the fabric so I could get everything as centered as possible.

Once I finished painting the lyrics, I added some color to the inside of the words I left outlined. Then, I attached the fabric to the back of the frame & cut the extra fabric off.

& here's the finished project after my amazing husband put it up on the wall :) (excuse the little mess in the room...we are still organizing)

There's still the fabric leaves I have to finish making for the tree painted on the wall where the crib will go...about 45 more leaves to make and a post will be up about that project! :D

Sneak Peek: Baby Shower Invitations

I have decided {like most of my other decisions about projects} that I can't seem to find the PERFECT invitations for my baby shower in September...sooo I'm making them myself!!! Ay yi yi, sometimes my pickiness really can add up to toooo much to do but I can't help it! Although I am not throwing my own shower, I HAVE to be apart of the decor & planning. That's all there is to it! lol
I already have the layout of the invitations done and what I want the stationary to look like so now it's a matter of printing and putting together all of the other little details that computer printing just can not do.
Here is a small sneak peek at what will be added to the invitations and some inspiration for my little man's baby shower :)

**All the other details will be kept a secret until they have been completed & sent out**

{Enjoy}
