Recently. {pretty pieces + free coffee + naps}

Lately, I have been a busy body working on several different orders ranging from wedding pieces to cute flower hairpieces. It's such a blessing to do what I love!
I'm still trying to juggle a busy "work schedule" with home life and it's a little difficult since I work from home. Although I make my own schedule, I still have deadlines to meet and people counting on me so getting into a routine is my challenge. If you have any advice, this wife, mommy and handmade business owner would much appreciate it! :)
In the mean time, here are some of my recent orders/pieces of handcrafted love.
{enjoy}

This was a custom order of boutonnieres that I just sent out to Illinois. It was such a pleasure to work with the bride on her adornments for the guys. Although there was a lot of "mind changing" on her end, this bride was so funny and positive which made working with her a joy! I can't wait to see the photos of the big day!

These 3 hairpieces were made for a really good friend of mine. They are so fun and perfect for spring!

For the first time, I created a garter set (yes I am admitting this) and I absolutely ADORE them! I used vintages broaches, rhinestones, feathers, chiffon, and hand cut lace to create these pretty little treasures. I have another custom order for a garter set and will be adding garters to the shop soon!

This antique-inspired boutonniere just went out to Georgia to adorn a prom date. I love getting orders for high school homecoming dances and prom! Reminds me of those funny memories that seem to have taken place so long ago.

This one of a kind bridal hairpiece was sent out to Alabama for a wedding that is actually taking place tomorrow! So happy for this bride and I can't wait to see the photos!

That's about it for the sharing of some recent orders. Makes me so happy to be able to send a little piece of my craft room to someone else's doorstep miles away. :)

Other than working in the craft room, I have also:
*started a new devotion in the book of Matthew
*received a free cup of coffee from Starbucks (whoop!)
*killed a gigantic spider while just about having an anxiety attack
*been puked on by my oh so adorable son
*received {just because} flowers from the husband

*opened up my new Gussy Sews package-hello super cute camera strap cover

*made an entire platter of food for women's bible study-pretty proud of myself because I will usually just pick something up from the store
*took a small afternoon nap because sometimes, the need succeeds the want

Have a beautiful weekend my friends!

{Sneak Peek} of NEW bridal pieces for the wedding line!!

At the end of this month, I will be working with Aurora Vilchis on a bridal shoot and releasing some new hairpieces for the shop! I am sooo excited to be creating new pieces for brides to love and I can't wait until they are all complete.
I have been working late into the wee hours to finish some of these pretties and I have big plans for those I haven't started just yet.
Here's a {tiny} peek into a new bridal line.

What are your favorite bridal hairpiece styles?

David and Milia's GORGEOUS colorful wedding--with a Love Sparkle Pretty bridal piece :)

This morning, I got an email from Milia--a wonderful customer who asked me to create a custom bridal piece for her big day. I used an ivory and mustard yellow color palette and created a birdcage veil for her.
{You can read more about it in my past post--here}
I was so excited to see some of the photos that she sent me!
She made such a STUNNING bride and her wedding theme and decor was absolutely GORGEOUS!
This spring wedding is so precious and the day looks like it couldn't have been more perfect.
These amazing photos were taken by Him & Her Photography!

I had to share!

{enjoy}

The details of their wedding are just beautiful! So cheerful, colorful, & thoughtful! You can tell that a lot of {love} went into the planning of this wedding.

At each table, the bride and groom wrote a promise to each other on chalkboards. Such a great idea!
My favorite is "I promise to warm your hands when they are cold " from David. SOOOO romantic!

Congrats to David and Milia on your marriage!
I wish you all the very best and THANK YOU again so very much for giving me the opportunity to create a custom piece for your special day!
It really means a lot!

Newest creations + a weee bit of organizing + a couple relaxing trips to the mountains

I have been so busy lately with finals for my nursing assessment class and some new orders...as well as a couple trips to the mountains with the husband and little guy for some fresh air. :)
I wanted to share a couple of the newest projects I have completed to sort of "catch myself up."

First, I finished a custom order for 6 boutonnieres for a lovely bride-to-be the other day and I am so happy with them! The color palette is so pretty and she sent me the crystal buttons to add to them! Aren't they pretty?

The bride-to-be even suggested that I add these to the shop.
What do you think? :D

Also, I received an order for a flower hairpiece for a prom in North Carolina.
This sweet girl sent me a message with a photo of her dress she will be wearing and wanted the "Tiffany Hairpiece" with bits of aqua mixed into it to match her dress.
Read the post about it here.
Well, she sent me a couple photos she took before she went to the prom and I wanted to share them. :)
Whenever someone sends me photos of what I created for them, it makes me SUPER excited--
just so you know! ::wink winkk::

Another piece I just recently finished was a flower hairpiece for my sister-in-law.
It was her birthday and she hinted that she wanted a brown flower hairpiece so I made her just what she "hinted." lol
I used brown chiffon fabric for the petals, sewed 3 pearls to the center, and added 3 different brown feathers.
I think it came out so cute and I even added it to the
Love Sparkle Pretty Shop! :)
Want different colors?
Send me an email:
kaylanicole0317[at]aol.com
or a convo on Etsy! :)

The other morning I also sent a little piece of my heart to France in this little envelope!
I have shipped to all over the world but I received my first order from France the other day.
The bride-to-be ordered a "Rustic-Inspired Boutonniere" and I was so excited because I have always wanted to visit France!
I even wrote a bit of french (for the first time) in her thank you card. :)
Aurevoir little boutonniere!
Not only have I been making some new items, I have also been organizing a bit...just a bit though!
The other night, I sat down on the floor in my craft room and just started sorting some of my feathers--actually, HUNDREDS of my feathers (which I still have THOUSANDS left to organize :-/).
 My husband also came in and helped me...what a great guy right? :)

Here's a photo of my "feather rainbow"

& a weee-bit of organzing in my little "cubby holes."

Although I had lots of creating to do, I took a couple breaks with the husband, our little man, and a couple good friends to Crestline and a trip to Big Bear Lake.
We enjoyed God's beautiful creations and just relaxed!
Here are a couple photos from each trip. :)

From Crestline on our "Heart Rock" hike.

From beautiful Big Bear Lake
What a great way to end a busy couple of weeks right? :)

Newest Pieces Made! Crafty, Crafty!

I have been working on a couple new projects and just wanted to share a little post on them :)I have received a few orders for some June weddings and finished a custom piece using magnolia petals, ivory chiffon, ivory french veiling, feathers, and a crystal broach.

This was originally part of a piece called HAILEY--Modeled by my beautiful friend Crystal :)
I created the flower by itself though instead of attached to a "halo" and I love it! I'm so excited to see photos of the beautiful bride that I created this piece for!

I am also currently working on 6 boutonnieres for another June wedding using the colors Blue/Lavender, light gray, and blush for the color palette. I can't wait to finish these because these are going to be beautiful! I love the colors that were chosen! :)

I also have another custom wedding hairpiece for a wedding in August. The color palette will be ivory with a bit of light pink for an accent (love the light fabric I have for this piece!) A birdcage veil will also go with this piece and a post will be on it's way about this one. :)

Yesterday, I received--and completed an order for a prom hairpiece--which so happens to be this friday in North Carolina! Usually, I don't take on custom orders with such a short period of time to complete but I did (& so happy I did!). It turned out so beautifully and was made to match the dress that will be worn (which is STUNNING btw).
I created this piece with ivory magnolia petals, 3 types of lace, aqua & ivory feathers, aqua blue chiffon fabric, gray/silver satin, and a bunch of different beads that I sewn to the center. These beads match the bits of beaded detail on the dress. :)
I can't wait to see photos soon of the dress and hairpiece together! :)
I ALSO made a new necklace (just about done).
I call this one
{Vintage
Tresures}
& I LOVE it!!!!
This will be available SOON in the
Love Sparkle Pretty Shop

Anywho, I still have a couple more orders to complete as well so I shall go and start those too :)
Let me just say though, that I LOVE what I do!
When I get to create something for somebody else who really loves it as well, it makes me so happy!
THANK YOU!!!

Finally unemployed + LOTS of new creations :D

Yesterday was my last day of working as a grocery clerk! I had been with the company for about 5 years and instead of enjoying my last 8hr. shift, I woke up REALLY sick and had to go to work that way...unable to leave early. :( I could barely even hold myself up and by the time I was FINALLY off, I was able to take my temperature--knowing I had a fever--the thermometer said 101.5 F :(
It's weird to be happy about being unemployed but with a supportive husband, I am able to focus on being a mommy, crafter, and nursing student--there's hardly any "free" time even without a job.
Here are some projects that I recently finished and now will have more time to finish up some more orders :)

{This is a fully custom bridal piece that I created with royal purple detail & a half birdcage veil.}

{These are boutonnieres that I created for a bride in Santa Maria. I used different purple feathers for the groom and groomsmen as well as purple vintage buttons.}

{This is a piece for a nautical themed wedding in Florida. It's my "Ahoy Darling" creation with light pink feathers instead of the traditional red. I also used antique-inspired lace within the ivory flower.}

{I also created another one of these vintage-inspired boutonnieres for a bride-to-be in Sierra Madre, Ca :) These boutonieres seem to be very popular!}

{& last but not least for my recent Etsy.com orders, I created 2 of these peacock fascinators for 2 bridesmaids in Australia :)}

It's always such a pleasure working with nice people and creating pieces that they will love as well! You may have noticed that my Etsy shop is dwindling down. This is because I will be adding new items to the shop very soon! :)
I'm excited about this!
If you have any ideas of what you would like to see in my shop, please let me know! I love feedback :)
As for the rest of the day, I am drinking some hot tea to soothe my throat and hopefully working on some custom orders soon when I feel much better.
