A {Valentine's Day} Inspired Photoshoot

A couple nights ago, I had a spontaneous idea to create a mini photoshoot inspired by Valentine's Day! (You can read a little bit more about the day of the shoot right here.) Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that you either love or hate. I just so happen love it, not only because my husband is super sweet but also because the Valentine decor is always so pretty and soo cute! It's hard to go by all of the red, pink, candy, sparkles and hearts in the stores and not want to decorate the whole house and throw a super girly party. Please tell me I'm not alone on that one! lol For this mini inspired photoshoot, I used a colorful palette of aqua, pink, white and gold with hints of sparkle. I stayed up the night before to put all the little details together such as the little "favors" of adorable heart pins made of felt and the lacy scalloped garland which was made using paper doilies from the dollar store. These are just some ideas that are easy to do and don't cost a whole lot.
There are a few items featured that will be in the shop soon, (if they aren't already) so head on over to Love Sparkle Pretty and see what's new!
{Enjoy}
Get the sparkling gold heart cake topper right here.

Get those glitter mini clothespins right here.

This hairpiece is a part of the "Tea Party Collection" which will be in the shop soon! A sneak peek coming to the blog tomorrow. :)

What are your plans for this Valentine's Day?

{Have a beautiful week!}

{Sneak Peek} A SWEET Valentine Inspired Photoshoot

Two nights ago, I came up with a little idea for a mini inspiration photoshoot and stayed up until about 1 in the morning to complete some details for it. If you don't know already, I will be launching a new website with wedding/event planning services as well as event decor so I needed some new photos for the shop and website. Yesterday, I called up my grandma who lives down the street and asked her if I could borrow her garden (she has a beautiful garden throughout her whole yard that she completely transformed herself) and of course she said yes under the condition that I bring her favorite great grandson. :) So, I loaded up my jeep with a bunch of fun props and my son in tow.

Once everything was set up and I found a location, I pulled out my camera phone...yes, my camera phone (I have been wanting to get an actual camera but still haven't)! My trust-y little camera named "Droid" snapped away and here's a sneak peek of what's to come to the blog soon!

{enjoy}

Here was the sneak peek I gave on Instagram. :)

I should have the post ready by tomorrow so check back soon! :)

Valentine's Day Party

February 14th is one of my favorite days! All the hearts, the pink, the red, doilies, love notes, candy, ribbon, flowers, and my favorite...CHOCOLATE! Every year around this time, I can sit in the hallmark store for hours reading all the cards about love and finding the perfect person that you will spend the rest of your life with--your soulmate!!
With that being said, last night after reading about 2 dozen valentine's day cards with a friend, we had an idea! A valentine's day party--{Next year of course, since we definitely need more than a week and a half to plan any event}!! I immediately went online and searched valentine's day event ideas and found some really good ideas that I wanted to share and for those of you who are talented enough to put together a lovely event in less than 2 weeks, these might be helpful for your valentine's day soiree. :)
