{Sneak Peek} of the NEW Fall Bridal Line

I've been talking about a new bridal line that I will be launching in a couple months. I've had all of these ideas in my head for a while and I am now finally able to make them tangible and come to life! Although, I still have quite a bit of work to do, I am hoping to get these pieces done by the end of August to launch as the Fall 2014 Bridal Line. With lots of hand beading, crystals, vintage-inspired rhinestones, intricate lace and delicate champagne tulle, these pieces are unique and the designs are something that I haven't created before.

I wanted to share just a little teeny tiny sneak peek on what I've been working on with more details to come.

{enjoy}

I am completely and utterly in love with this cream colored Chantilly lace. So intricate and feminine!

Just started this new design which is still in the works with quite a bit more details that must be added. So far, I've hand sewn several clear rhinestones set in antique bronze to this piece that I am so excited about!

This piece wasn't actually intended to be a part of the new line originally. It was inspired for an upcoming bridal shoot but once I started hand stitching several different laces and soft chiffon fabric together to create this veil, I was enamored with it! The complete piece isn't shown in the photo (the front is still being created) but with it's pretty details, I knew I must add this to the shop collection.

This oh so lovely floor length chiffon veil and floral crown combo was created as a custom order for a bride recently. Again, I fell in love with the design. Seriously, some of my pieces have come from the inspiration of my amazing clients! After receiving quite a bit of inquiries on this piece, I will be adding this veil to the shop very soon as well.

There are so many more details that need to be put together to make this collection complete & cohesive but I am so excited to create and see them come together.

What bridal trends are you most excited about?

Another custom order scarf done! :)

I must say, I really love all the scarves I have made so far & this one is no exception! I just want to keep every single one but I know giving it to someone else who will love it just as much--is the right thing to do I guess... LOL!
I got a message the other night to create a purple one for a friend & since that was all the detail I was given, I went to the fabric store, bought some SUPER SOFT & COMFY purple flannel fabric and used my own creativity for the rest! Here's what I came up with! :)

I was going through all of my different fabrics and details I have stocked up and found this wonderful lace applique!I bought it a while back when I was in LA at the fabric district and thought it would go beautifully with the purple scarf. So, I took a picture of it, sent it to my friend & she loved it as well! Afterwards, I got to sewing and finished the scarf off with 2 vintage-inspired pearl buttons to be worn attached or detached! :)

{This is when I wish my mannequin wasn't purple...but you can get the idea...}

It's so pretty right? Do you see my dilemma when I don't wanna give it away? Haha! Well I know it will be in good hands soon!
Thank you Rachelle for letting me create a scarf for you! It will be keeping you warm soon! :)

2 more hairpieces...

Last night I made a flower pin that will clip onto a baby girls headband. It came out so cute and baby Giuliana is gonna look adorable wearing it :D
I also made this feather pin today as well just for fun and I love how it turned out! Nothin'
but fun feathers and a crystal broach! :)
On another note, I created a custom flower hairpiece for a friend and she was so kind to post about the arrival of her hairpiece in her blog! :D Here is her wonderful post : http://www.thestoryiseverlasting.blogspot.com/2011/06/flower-power.html
Thank you Anela! :D
Have a good night everyone and I will be finding out more for the photo shoot next month very soon! {I may have found the location already as well!}
Now off to work on a cute little pink skirt! :)

Bride to Be

Last night, I stayed up 'til about 2:30 in the morning letting my creativity run free! For this particular reason, I was putting together a gift for a bride to be for her tea party bridal shower!! Oh how I love tea parties! The floral dresses, the big floppy hats, the aroma of fresh flowers, the delicious flavors of tea in quaint little tea cups, the very feminine atmosphere...it's all too familiar from the days of dress up as a little girl :)
To add to the essence of the tea party, I put together a little something as a gift to the new bride.

I had bought a set of tea cups which originally had silver/gray design on the set but of course I had to change it to make it girlier :) So, I painted in hot pink over the silver detail as well as hand painted the word--"Bride" on a tag which I tied to the handle with ivory ribbon.

The most time spent was in creating a hairpiece which was very detailed yet simple and classic! As a bride, the traditional colors are white/ivory so I wanted to keep the hairpiece in that color palette using different textures including several different lace patterns, chiffon, satin, I also included pearls and feathers! :) Although, I put a lot of detail into it, I made it small enough to wear it casually, yet definitely added plenty of embellishments so it can be worn with something more elegant!

So, that's where my imagination was put into last night! Sometimes, the creative "itch" can lead to something worth falling in love with...I know I did!! :D

A NEW project

A couple days ago, I went to the mall with a friend to go on a bit of a shopping spree. I wore my lace skirt that I made about a month back. Little did I know, that decision would guide me into a new creation :)

A girl, by the name of Chanelle, stopped me and after complimenting on my skirt, she asked if I could make her one {of course I would! :) } she gave me her ideas on a skirt and we decided on the fabric (which I have to pick the rest up tomorrow)!

This project will be a layered lace and cheetah print ruffled skirt :) There is a bit of sparkle to the chiffon cheetah print fabric as well which makes it even girlier! Once I start this skirt, I will be posting pictures of its progress so check back soon...

Little Ruffled Dress

So I have been working on this dress for a while now {it's my first one} & I'm definitely not done yet but here's my progress so far...

The top is made of satin with a V neck. The sleeves are still being worked on...
The back is also a deep V neck.

The bottom is made of chiffon ruffles as well as lace...which takes some time to layer and make sure they are all even and straight.

I'm still adding layers.

Hopefully, this project will be done by the end of the weekend...although I think I have to buy more material to complete it.
I'm super excited for the end result!!!

Then, I can start my next project :)...
{Hint} It's not clothing--but an accessory

Pearls & Lace

I love feminin clothing that brings out the "girl" in women :) This is precisely why I love lace, pearls, ruffles, and sparkle! So, I put all of those attributes into my first clothing project ever and came up with something I adore!

I made the skirt with french lace ruffles, a gold shimmer cotton fabric underneath, and a string of pearls around the waist. I also made the matching flower head wrap Which will be posted later.
In the making...before I lined it with pearls
