Daisies for Twins! :)

Two adorable twin girls are on their way in the Chip family and as a part of their baby shower gift, I made a head band for each of them :)
I went and bought some pink, soft elastic from Joann's fabric store for the bands and sewed the ends together. Once I was done, I used hot pink daisies for each flower and to make each one unique, I used two different floral fabrics as well as two different buttons for the center of each--One green & one yellow. Then I sewed each flower to the elastic bands & --Viola! A cute little hairpiece for two tiny beauties due at the end of September :D

A Birthday Wish

A dear friend of mine turned 22 yesterday and in celebration, I created a unique hairpiece just for her! :)
My inspiration for this piece came from her love of The Little Mermaid and I put my own design together to captivate this adoration.
I used burgundy and shades of blues to accent this ivory magnolia flower hairpiece and used a vintage aqua flower button as well as a pearl and gold button to add the finishing touch! :)
Here it is!

Again, Happy Happiest Birthday Ashley! :D

Sneak Peek of Sunrise. & Emily

It has been a rainy morning and with a cup of hot chocolate in hand, I have created some new hairpieces that will be available soon! I really love how different each of my pieces are so far. Each one has character mixed with some creative thought and sprinkled with love! :)
Here's a sneak peek of a few more creations along with a little preview of my fall line that will be out some time in September :)

2 more hairpieces...

Last night I made a flower pin that will clip onto a baby girls headband. It came out so cute and baby Giuliana is gonna look adorable wearing it :D
I also made this feather pin today as well just for fun and I love how it turned out! Nothin'
but fun feathers and a crystal broach! :)
On another note, I created a custom flower hairpiece for a friend and she was so kind to post about the arrival of her hairpiece in her blog! :D Here is her wonderful post : http://www.thestoryiseverlasting.blogspot.com/2011/06/flower-power.html
Thank you Anela! :D
Have a good night everyone and I will be finding out more for the photo shoot next month very soon! {I may have found the location already as well!}
Now off to work on a cute little pink skirt! :)

Halo Hairpiece

A couple nights ago, I made this halo hairpiece within an hour from wire stems that I had left after I picked off all the flowers to use them. I used a pink peony bud and put a pink flower button in the center. I also added lace, little ivory feathers and used little pink and ivory flowers (I think they are supposed to be like cherry blossoms) to go along with the peony. I had never made a hairpiece quite like this one before but I love it and will continue to make more like it :) Listings will be up soon on my etsy account for similar hairpieces @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/kaylanicole0317 !
Enjoy! :)
